Hi, this is Stephanie Maas.

Speaker:

Today I wanna talk to you about candidate risk aversion.

Speaker:

Some real aversion to making moves and some of the reasonings behind

Speaker:

it have been, you know, the phrase, Hey, I don't wanna be last in,

Speaker:

first out when the recession comes.

Speaker:

I know we're not in recession now, but I wanna be smart about that.

Speaker:

Hey, you know, I don't, I don't know how all this is gonna shake out and

Speaker:

I don't wanna be R in my decisioning.

Speaker:

I'm gonna kind of wait and see, see what happens, et cetera.

Speaker:

Some of it has been.

Speaker:

There's just been a lot of newer players come into our market and folks

Speaker:

are saying, Hey, you know, we, we, we are gonna wait and see what they do.

Speaker:

Let's see how committed they really are to being here.

Speaker:

It's not a new concept.

Speaker:

We have definitely seen it throughout the years.

Speaker:

I wanted to share this message, especially for, you know, hiring managers.

Speaker:

If you've sensed frustration in your recruiting efforts, if you feel

Speaker:

like, Hey, I've been on a search and I haven't seen the quantity

Speaker:

of candidates that we normally do.

Speaker:

This is a lot of what's going on.

Speaker:

And the same time candidates, if you are having these feelings,

Speaker:

believe it or not, and this sounds weird coming from a recruiter.

Speaker:

I still believe that making a career move is a tremendous

Speaker:

decision for you and your family.

Speaker:

If you are not sure, you probably do need to wait.
